It took our molder one day longer than expected, but everything looks great. We are meeting with our molder first thing Monday morning in order to expedite the building/completion of the jigs. Our molder has informed us that the material for our first run should arrive within a week. We hope to have a date when production will start very soon. Please read our other posts further down to see our shipping process for pre-sales. We know this has been a long journey for many of you. We really appreciate your patience. We are very close!

Preliminary Runs Completed Today!
Friday, April 30th, 2010Preliminary Update #2 4-22-10
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010We were very disappointed to find out that our molder failed to meet the agreed upon schedule that we were given. We had a heart to heart with the owner on Tuesday and he had an in-house meeting with all the employees on what his expectations are for our job. Fortunately, the delay had nothing to do with our tooling, it was a couple of in-house issues. The owner was apologetic and renewed his commitment to stick with the new schedule. As of today, they have completed three of the molds and will complete the rest of the preliminary runs by Wednesday morning 4-28-10. Their words-not ours. We are talking with them daily to stay up to date with the progress. It has been confirmed that we will indeed need to have several jigs built to ensure the upper rear housing keeps its proper shape during the initial cooling process.
We recommend potential customers new to this site read our last couple of posts on our “Latest News”. We discuss the two accessories we are including in the kit as a thank you for your support and patience, as we work to bring you an affordable, effective stock.
Preliminary Run Update
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010Here is a break down of what is currently taking place at the manufacturer during the preliminary run:
The tooling is mechanically hoisted up by a trollie crane and secured to the machine by several dozen very large bolts. This process alone takes a couple hours for each mold (the stock kit consists of six molds).
Our molder works to tweak the factory provided set points for the temperature of the molds and the cycling intervals for optimum quality.
There are also two parts which will require jigs to be sure the form is not warped after coming off the line.
They felt confident that by the end of this week they would be able to have the preliminary runs completed.
Preliminary run this Monday 4-12-10
Sunday, April 11th, 2010We are still taking pre-orders for our SKS Bullpup Stock kit that will include a front tri-rail mount and an extended magazine release lever (a quick thumb release for detachable magazines). These accessories are included in the kits as a thank you for remaining dedicated to this whole pre-sale process. These two accessories will not be included in orders placed after our pre-sale ends.
This Monday our molder will begin a preliminary run to work our tooling temperatures and cycling rates to prevent warpage.
