As you know, our molder told us that they were supposed to run our 6th and final part of the stock kit this past week. As a result of the machinist’s hospital stay, he was backed up with other jobs, as well as ours. However they were able to start on the 6th and final run today. They are well into the run and it looks like they will be finished Tuesday 6-29-10 with our order. Inserting has begun and we expect that to be completed soon.

Production Update 6-25-10
Friday, June 25th, 2010Production Update 6-15-10
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010The receiver cover is slated to be run today or Wednesday. This was scheduled to be completed last week. The Director of Operations (who takes care of the company’s machining needs) was rushed to the hospital last Wednesday. He had heart attack-like symptoms, but tests revealed that he had massive amounts of ulcers. Around 40 ulcers that were severe and 13 that were bleeding. The good news is he doing well and will fully recover. He returned to work today and he is working on reconfiguring our jig to run the upper rear receiver cover. As a result of pricing confusion, the parts that need to have inserts were never taken to the other shop. The pricing issue was resolved today and they have assured us the parts will be delivered either today or Wednesday.

One To Go
Monday, June 7th, 2010Our molder told us they will finish running the main housing mold (the 5th of six parts) this Monday, June 7, 2010. They will then start set up to run the final mold. They are scheduled to take the parts that need inserting to the shop this Monday. The shop doing the inserts say they need about a week turn around time to get set up with part supports. The actual inserting operation will go quickly.
