Update and shipping news

Dear Valued Customers,

We know there are a lot of frustrated customers out there, upset with our lack of communication. We understand they have good reason to be frustrated. We apologize for this total lack of communication. We wish there was some way we could undo what we have done.

This email is an attempt to explain why.

Over the past several years, we have experienced a series of unfortunate events. We’ll briefly cover them in order.

Going back to the last couple of years of the Obama Administration with all of the talk of gun bans, basically a “feeding frenzy” so to speak of AR platform purchases was created, deeply cutting into our normal sales numbers.

As the country got closer to the 2016 presidential elections and the belief was created that Hillary Clinton would win the election, AR platform sales reached levels never seen before, cutting into our sales even more.

After the election of Mr. Trump (one of the most pro-gun presidents we have ever had) as president, our sales took another dip, as the threat of bans completely disappeared.

The last quarter of 2017 the complex where we rented our shop space was sold and January, 2018 our rent was doubled. We had to move out as we just couldn’t afford the increase in rent.

We ended up setting up a very nice, but small work space behind our house where we have been doing all the work of building out kits and shipping since July of 2018.

During all of the above, we had managed to continue slowly shipping out kits and small parts orders with basically a one man crew while working small electrical jobs to supplement household income until we could lower our overhead to the point where the decisions and actions of others have no effect on our business going forward.

Unfortunately, at the end of August 2018, two State of California public entities, breached obligations not arising from contract that we had with them to purchase the home we have been living in for almost 20 years, injuring us greatly. We were in no position to afford an attorney, not to mention the fact, the handful of attorneys we did call informed us they had no interest in taking on a lawsuit against the State.

What was done to us was so egregious and outrageous, we just could not let it lie. So after much reading and research, we filed a suit against the State ourselves. What I have come to learn regarding how the status quo of government is steadily, methodically, stripping us of our wealth, freedoms and liberties, boggles my mind. It’s almost like waking up in an episode of the matrix. We have been raised to believe there is nothing we can do, but actually there is. But that’s another story for another time.

Learning all that we had to learn was a daunting task for us. Every step of the judicial process was a whole new set of information we had to learn.

We were scheduled to have a hearing on January 17th where it would be decided if our case is dismissed or if it is to move forward to trial. However, yesterday, the court moved the hearing to the same day as our Case Management Conference, which is the 24th of January. We are hoping this portends to good things.

We feel we have reached a point where we can begin putting a fair amount of time back into building out kits and shipping as well as keeping our website up to date. By January 25th we should be shipped through April 2019. Also at this time, we should be able to begin setting tentative dates of future shipments.

We are going to begin calling those who have been trying to reach us to no avail. It will take a little while because we only have a limited time to make calls. Ideally, the best way to communicate with us will be through email. We basically work from sun up to well past sundown. At the end of the day, it’s much easier to sit down in the quiet of the evening and respond to emails.

Again, we apologize for the total lack of communication. We were in such a desperate situation it was difficult to even think. All of the time spent to get our case up to this point really divided our attention.

We are now at a place where we can begin anew focusing on Shernic Gun Works. We have and do really appreciate your patience and we know you’re going to be thrilled with your purchase.
